Shrubs and Trees, Inc. is a local, family-owned, and family-operated business that grew out of a need for high-quality plants that were grown in the area, at reasonable prices.

Our Business

The founder of Shrubs and Trees, Inc., Ron Garcia, started the business very informally in the 1970s.  He would take orders for specific plants, make contact with quality local growers, and drive to the growing areas to hand select the plants to fill those orders.  He knew the importance of using plant material that was raised in the same type of climate and environment in which it will be planted. 

Today, Ron and his son Dan carefully select and order nursery stock from many of these same quality growers. and make it available to the public from their location on Route 9 in Southborough, MA.  Every year, they visit the fields of many different growers, searching out the best plants of each variety and species.

What Makes Shrubs and Trees Unique

(1) Quality.   Our plants are carefully selected, and come from the best growers for each of the different species and varieties we carry. All of our plants are Northern-grown, so in addition to being great-looking, they're adapted for the sometimes-harsh local climate.

(2) Selection.  We have in stock an impressively wide selection and many variations of both the classic shrub and tree varieties, as well as many interesting and unusual specimens.  We can also special order sizes or varieties as needed.

(3) Service.  We are not happy unless you are happy.  We strive on a daily basis to be your nursery of choice, not just for today, but for the years to come.
